As season 5 came to a close, several characters seemed to have experienced monumental changes in their lives. Scheana files for divorce, Kristen enters a stable and seemingly healthy relationship, and last but not least-we finally see Schwartz and Katie get married. With all this progress, combined with a few hiccups along the road in typical Vanderpump Rules fashion, after the reunion, the cast seemed to have taken a step backwards within their own dynamics.
Take one look at the placement of their reunion seating to understand. Just when the all-encompassing ‘girl-gang’ mentality had seemingly been dismantled, que the return of Stassi. This season we see Stassi finagle her way back into the group. Her presence was officially solidified as ‘back’ once she admitted her wrongdoing to Katie. As she inched her way back to the group, the idea of her, Katie, and Kristen seemed like a fling of the past. However, post reunion, this notion might be unfortunately wrong.

Stassi makes good reality TV, but to be frank, I didn’t miss her to enjoy watching Vanderpump Rules-and I agree with Ariana and Sandoval’s stance on being critical of the motives behind her return. That being said, with the return of Stassi, is the return of the unnecessary clique consisting of Stassi, Katie, and Kristen verses, well, anyone who disagrees with them.
In the reunion, we see what happens to anyone who deviates from their opinions: they ended up sitting across from them, opposing them. Ariana and Sandoval don’t engage or suck up to their clique, and when Scheana chooses to have a differing opinion than them, she gets the boot as well. When Stassi wasn’t on the show, we got a more in depth look at each character. However with her return comes her dated notion which confuses loyalty with agreeability, this reformed dynamic will make for an interesting season 6.
