The best moment of season 5 of VPR starred three individuals that are not castmates. While this moment was initiated by two castmates, the scene stealer of this entire season was when Sandoval and Jax surprised Schwartz with his triplet brothers at his wedding: Billy, Bert, and Brandon.
The planning of Schwartz and Katie’s wedding seemed stressful enough, and little did they know there was a secret being planned by two of their best friends that could have had the potential to triple their nerves. For their present to the bride and groom, Sandoval and Jax decided to fly in Schwartz’s triplet brothers as a surprise from Florida.
This gesture seemed touching enough before it even came to fruition on camera. And while they nearly made it, once the triplets surprised Schwartz all the wedding drama that occurred this season seemed irrelevant. Seeing Schwartz’s sincere heartfelt reaction to seeing his brothers was honestly touching. I admittedly shed a few tears, and I am willing to guess that I wasn’t the only viewer to do so. Then on top of that, it was heartwarming to see Sandoval and Jax get emotional with and for Schwartz.
Moments like this prove why the show is so successful in the first place: the castmates are actually friends who have history with each other prior to filming. They have genuine friendships that have ups and downs, and this moment would have happened with or without the cameras.
