It’s no secret that Vanderpump Rules on Bravo TV has been a hit. The show just recently wrapped up season 5 with a THREE part reunion. You don’t air a reunion in three parts unless you have something viewers really want and boy does Bravo have us hooked. So why is such a hit show still waiting in the balance for the green light? There’s likely one thing in the way.
Contracts. When it comes to making a movie or tv show, everyone wants their contract taken care of before arriving to shoot. Now things are usually pretty simple to iron out when your in your first season but after five seasons, this cast is figuring out their worth to Bravo. Now they’re not negotiating their salaries as servers and bartenders, this is an actual Monday night television program so it gets a little more hectic. Now back in February, RadarOnline revealed that Tom Sandoval made just under $26,000 for season 2 and it was believed he was making $15,000 per episode in season 3. As these numbers rise, the contracts become all the more important and that may be holding up the show.
It’s almost a certainty in my opinion that the show will be green-lit. They’ve already acquired a new cast member who has updated her Twitter bio to read “SUR Hostess.” I don’t think she was leaving her previous job for a show that isn’t happening. Could Lala’s “Non-Disclosure” boyfriend be holding things up? I doubt it but crazier things have happened.
