At the end of season 5, Scheana and Mike Shay hit rock bottom and ultimately divorced. However, by the time part 3 of the reunion aired, it was revealed that while they were no longer together, the divorce had not been finalized. In the state of California it usually takes 6-8 months and it had only been 3 months during the shooting of the reunion. But the divorced has been finalized.
According to TMZ, Mike Shay made out pretty well all things considered. The following assets will belong to Scheana:
- 2016 Ford Explorer, with a $49,000 note
- 2009 Nissan Altima worth $19,000 (I’m confused, does this has negative miles on it or a jacuzzi in it?)
- A bank account with $1,000
- A retirement fund worth $31,000
Mike Shay will walk away with the following:
- 2005 GMC Sierra
- $50,000
This is ultimately how the bulk of the assets were split up. It would seem Mike did not have these kind of assets prior to marrying Scheana so I think it’s safe to say he won this battle, but Scheana is the one with a boyfriend and on a hit television show heading for season 6.
